Hands Are For Clapping, Not Sitting On....

Hi, all! It's Friday night @ 11:45 PM and here I am again, blogging away. So, the show opened well and is chugging along. Andrea is very nice and a real pro. She had a very short rehearsal schedule and is doing a nice job. She's funny as hell to boot. And, for those of you wondering what she looks like now, I believe she has a website- just google her and you can see for yourself she looks just fine. Audiences have been very full- not 100%, but very good houses. It's strange, though, because they are very quiet and respectful audiences, and we work best with rowdy, loud crowds. Oh well, they seem to like the show anyway and love the curtain call- that's when they get off their hands and actually clap. (I never thought I'd miss the Koreans clapping along to every up-tempo number- go figure...)

The weather here has been good, warm, but almost no rain and tons of sun. It looks like I won't be going to Hiroshima(my own decision) but, Tuesday a bunch of us are going to a Giants baseball game here in Tokyo and, from what I've been told, it's crazy! I can't wait. The company is also going to Tokyo Disney in a week or so- considering I've not been to any other Disney parks, it should be a fun time.

I've been good about shopping lately, partly because I've been sleeping in, or sleeping off a hangover, as was the case yesterday. We found an English pub near the hotel called the Hobgoblin. Great beer, real darts, and a nice staff-a Frenchman and an Irishman running an English Pub in Tokyo...why not? I'm sure we'll be visiting again soon. Not too soon, though....

Alright, I'm done. Two shows tomorrow and Sunday(1pm and 7PM) and then a few days off. I can't really complain about the schedule, as it could be a lot worse. It's only 8 shows a week and a nice long break between weeks. And in Tokyo to boot! Not bad at all.... I'll be in touch again very soon. Sayonara!
Peace,
Steve
